This 34-country vaccination campaign to eradicate rinderpest from Africa required communicating with diverse communities to gain their participation. Rinderpest is a dreaded virus capable of killing millions of cattle. We prepared an integrated communications campaign template with other UN and national staffs. We helped national teams to adapt and use the campaign in the field. Strategy, communications kit, flipcharts, posters, radio, and events for the United Nations, Organization of African Unity, local governments.
